Urgent!!! We need foster parents for lost, abused and abandoned small dogs! Please help! Go to Small Chance Rescue to learn more details. |
Setting a good example for our children by showing respect and concern for all living things is very important way to promote kindness. The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (A.S.P.C.A.) has many useful links to educational materials that can help you find ways to stop animal abuse.
Locally, you can call 311 or in the case of an emergency, 911 to report an act of animal cruelty or dog/cock fighting in progress. If an officer arrives and is unwilling to do anything about the situation, make sure you get his or her badge number. Check the laws; make sure that what you witnessed is a crime. Call or write us at info@gorilladogs.org and we can help you move through the process with the Office of the Police Monitor to file against an officer who did not enforce the law.
Most important of all, you can donate your time and/or dollars to animals who need your help.
We have a fund to help pay the veterinarian bills for some of these unfortunate animals. The rescue groups, including our own, take these animals that are often hard pressed to pay for the care they so desperately need.
